Terrorist attack on schedule: how Russian intelligence services "predicted" the attack in Mannheim
A great article was published by The Times. The only problem is that I wrote about the involvement of Russians in the terrorist attacks in Germany back in February, because I don't believe in coincidences, especially when it comes to katsaps - https://t.me/gistapapapa/105035.
But I still propose to read the entire article and draw brief conclusions. I quote.

Investigation into massacre in German city last year raises questions about Kremlin intelligence and hybrid warfare.
Russian internet users searched for information about a terrorist attack in Germany days before it happened, according to an investigation that suggests Moscow may have had advance knowledge of the violence.
In May last year, a rejected Afghan asylum seeker stabbed a police officer and wounded five other people in the western city of Mannheim as he apparently tried to kill a far-right critic of Islam.
This was the first in a series of seven mass stabbing or car ramming attacks by foreign nationals that have rocked Germany over the past 12 months and ultimately played a decisive role in the federal election six weeks ago.
Since the beginning of the year, speculation has emerged, based on circumstantial evidence, that the Kremlin may have had a hand in some of these incidents. If confirmed, this would be a new front in Russia's prolific campaign of "hybrid" warfare against Germany, which already includes disinformation, bribery of politicians, sabotage, reconnaissance of military installations with drones, vandalism and assassination attempts.
In January, at least two Afghan immigrants living in Germany were allegedly part of a network that had previously carried out attacks in their home country at the behest of Russian intelligence. German border guards are said to have prevented a third suspected member of the group from crossing the border with Poland last April.
An investigation by the German public broadcaster ZDF now suggests that at least some actors in Russia expected the first attack in Mannheim to take place weeks later.
On 31 May, a few days before the European Parliament elections, an Afghan man identified by authorities as 26-year-old Suleiman Atai attempted to assassinate prominent Bavarian anti-Islamist activist Michael Stürzenberger.
When Stürzenberger was speaking at a small rally in Mannheim, the attacker followed him, wounding Stürzenberger and four other people, as well as killing a police officer named Reuven Lohr. The attacker was then shot dead by another armed police officer.
Atai is on trial in the attack case at the Higher Regional Court of Stuttgart on one charge of murder and five charges of attempted murder. He confessed to the violence and said he considered it his "religious duty" after being radicalised by the war in Gaza.
A few days before the attack, however, Russian IP addresses were used to make internet searches for phrases such as "terrorist attack in Mannheim" and "attack on Michael Stürzenberger", according to the ZDF documentary The Terra X Story. The same computers were also used to search for publicly accessible webcams in Mannheim's central market square, where the massacre later took place.
Gerhard Konrad, a former officer of the German foreign intelligence service BND, said that the searches do not prove Russian involvement, but that Moscow's spy agencies have a tradition of such "active measures" that stretches back to the KGB during the Cold War.
"With this evidence, I would say that we certainly have at least an initial suspicion from an intelligence point of view - not from a prosecutorial point of view, but an initial suspicion from an intelligence point of view - that we have to check," Conrad said. "We have to realise that this type of crime, as a violent provocation, fits perfectly into the toolkit of what we call hybrid warfare these days."
Konstantin von Notz, a Green Party MP and chairman of the Bundestag's intelligence oversight committee, said the "intensification" of attacks in the run-up to the election was suspicious and that the internet searches warranted an official investigation: "I think it's quite clear that these digital traces, their assessment and analysis can be an important part of getting to the truth and therefore should be included," von Notz said.
Conclusion. The hybrid war continues. At first glance, it seems to be an Islamist terrorist attack, but, as you can see for yourself, if you dig a little deeper, we have a second one - political influence on the German elections, because there are digital fingerprints of the Russian special services.
Next. The Russian special services only had to write the word "fuck" in capital letters on the Brandenburg Gate - you don't have to be Colombo to conclude that search queries a few days before the attack in Mannheim, from Russian IP addresses with precise wording such as "terrorist attack in Mannheim" and "attack on Michael Sturzenberger" - well, never a coincidence.
And I'm not even going to mention the fact that the Russians were looking for webcams of the square where the attack eventually took place, because this is a classic sign of preparation or monitoring of a crime scene. Or someone believes that it's a coincidence again and that it just happened.
A random prediction? Nonsense. Extremists were looking for webcams? Fuck it, I almost believe it. But why Russian IP addresses?)
In fact, the Germans got to the bottom of the information preparation of the Russian special services, to the implementation of the "active event" - Russian intelligence services had contact with the attacker or groups that coordinated the attack.
Even if we assume that the Russians did not organise the attack in Germany themselves, they knew in advance what was going to happen, but used this information to model the information narrative.
By the way, who is funding and supporting the right-wing parties in Germany? Fuck, it's a fucking coincidence again. It happens. Especially when such "coincidences" involve Russians (sarcasm).
Who benefited the most from the mass migrant-related attacks in Germany?
And again, a coincidence. Fuck, it's some kind of magic, no doubt.
I will not write about the fact that before the German elections, thanks to such attacks, someone wanted to create a sense of chaos, push German voters to vote anti-immigrant, weaken pro-European forces and help parties sponsored by the Russian secret services and controlled by the Russian secret services to gain votes - this is also a coincidence.
But the reality is that in Europe, not only in Germany, Russians use violence as a tool of political influence.
But this is not all. The mention of an Afghan network operating under the direction of Moscow is already a serious accusation, and at this level, words are not thrown to the wind. If it is confirmed that the Mannheim attacker had contact with the Russians, it turns him from a "lone wolf" into a ticking time bomb with a remote control in Moscow, and opens up a front of cooperation between Islamist terror and Moscow's state policy.
Moral. I send another warm greeting to the EU intelligence services - Russia, which has long mastered sponsored terrorist incidents for political influence in Europe, has to admit it, after all.

The ultimate goal of the Russians is to radicalise both sides:
Migrants - through fakes about "Islamophobic Europe", Europeans - through fakes about "hordes of jihadists".
In both cases, the Kremlin wins because the unity of the EU is weakened, the far-right electorate grows, trust in state institutions falls, and social stability is undermined before the next election.
And then the conventional populist Orban comes to power and your country is no longer yours, but a vassal of Moscow.
Welcome to the real world, ladies and gentlemen. Maybe it's time to cooperate with those who understand how Russians think?

Terrorist attack on schedule: how Russian intelligence services "predicted" the attack in Mannheim
A great article was published by The Times. The only problem is that I wrote about the involvement of Russians in the terrorist attacks in Germany back in February, because I don't believe in coincidences, especially when it comes to katsaps - https://t.me/gistapapapa/105035.
But I still propose to read the entire article and draw brief conclusions. I quote.

Investigation into massacre in German city last year raises questions about Kremlin intelligence and hybrid warfare.
Russian internet users searched for information about a terrorist attack in Germany days before it happened, according to an investigation that suggests Moscow may have had advance knowledge of the violence.
In May last year, a rejected Afghan asylum seeker stabbed a police officer and wounded five other people in the western city of Mannheim as he apparently tried to kill a far-right critic of Islam.
This was the first in a series of seven mass stabbing or car ramming attacks by foreign nationals that have rocked Germany over the past 12 months and ultimately played a decisive role in the federal election six weeks ago.
Since the beginning of the year, speculation has emerged, based on circumstantial evidence, that the Kremlin may have had a hand in some of these incidents. If confirmed, this would be a new front in Russia's prolific campaign of "hybrid" warfare against Germany, which already includes disinformation, bribery of politicians, sabotage, reconnaissance of military installations with drones, vandalism and assassination attempts.
In January, at least two Afghan immigrants living in Germany were allegedly part of a network that had previously carried out attacks in their home country at the behest of Russian intelligence. German border guards are said to have prevented a third suspected member of the group from crossing the border with Poland last April.
An investigation by the German public broadcaster ZDF now suggests that at least some actors in Russia expected the first attack in Mannheim to take place weeks later.
On 31 May, a few days before the European Parliament elections, an Afghan man identified by authorities as 26-year-old Suleiman Atai attempted to assassinate prominent Bavarian anti-Islamist activist Michael Stürzenberger.
When Stürzenberger was speaking at a small rally in Mannheim, the attacker followed him, wounding Stürzenberger and four other people, as well as killing a police officer named Reuven Lohr. The attacker was then shot dead by another armed police officer.
Atai is on trial in the attack case at the Higher Regional Court of Stuttgart on one charge of murder and five charges of attempted murder. He confessed to the violence and said he considered it his "religious duty" after being radicalised by the war in Gaza.
A few days before the attack, however, Russian IP addresses were used to make internet searches for phrases such as "terrorist attack in Mannheim" and "attack on Michael Stürzenberger", according to the ZDF documentary The Terra X Story. The same computers were also used to search for publicly accessible webcams in Mannheim's central market square, where the massacre later took place.
Gerhard Konrad, a former officer of the German foreign intelligence service BND, said that the searches do not prove Russian involvement, but that Moscow's spy agencies have a tradition of such "active measures" that stretches back to the KGB during the Cold War.
"With this evidence, I would say that we certainly have at least an initial suspicion from an intelligence point of view - not from a prosecutorial point of view, but an initial suspicion from an intelligence point of view - that we have to check," Conrad said. "We have to realise that this type of crime, as a violent provocation, fits perfectly into the toolkit of what we call hybrid warfare these days."
Konstantin von Notz, a Green Party MP and chairman of the Bundestag's intelligence oversight committee, said the "intensification" of attacks in the run-up to the election was suspicious and that the internet searches warranted an official investigation: "I think it's quite clear that these digital traces, their assessment and analysis can be an important part of getting to the truth and therefore should be included," von Notz said.
Conclusion. The hybrid war continues. At first glance, it seems to be an Islamist terrorist attack, but, as you can see for yourself, if you dig a little deeper, we have a second one - political influence on the German elections, because there are digital fingerprints of the Russian special services.
Next. The Russian special services only had to write the word "fuck" in capital letters on the Brandenburg Gate - you don't have to be Colombo to conclude that search queries a few days before the attack in Mannheim, from Russian IP addresses with precise wording such as "terrorist attack in Mannheim" and "attack on Michael Sturzenberger" - well, never a coincidence.
And I'm not even going to mention the fact that the Russians were looking for webcams of the square where the attack eventually took place, because this is a classic sign of preparation or monitoring of a crime scene. Or someone believes that it's a coincidence again and that it just happened.
A random prediction? Nonsense. Extremists were looking for webcams? Fuck it, I almost believe it. But why Russian IP addresses?)
In fact, the Germans got to the bottom of the information preparation of the Russian special services, to the implementation of the "active event" - Russian intelligence services had contact with the attacker or groups that coordinated the attack.
Even if we assume that the Russians did not organise the attack in Germany themselves, they knew in advance what was going to happen, but used this information to model the information narrative.
By the way, who is funding and supporting the right-wing parties in Germany? Fuck, it's a fucking coincidence again. It happens. Especially when such "coincidences" involve Russians (sarcasm).
Who benefited the most from the mass migrant-related attacks in Germany?
And again, a coincidence. Fuck, it's some kind of magic, no doubt.
I will not write about the fact that before the German elections, thanks to such attacks, someone wanted to create a sense of chaos, push German voters to vote anti-immigrant, weaken pro-European forces and help parties sponsored by the Russian secret services and controlled by the Russian secret services to gain votes - this is also a coincidence.
But the reality is that in Europe, not only in Germany, Russians use violence as a tool of political influence.
But this is not all. The mention of an Afghan network operating under the direction of Moscow is already a serious accusation, and at this level, words are not thrown to the wind. If it is confirmed that the Mannheim attacker had contact with the Russians, it turns him from a "lone wolf" into a ticking time bomb with a remote control in Moscow, and opens up a front of cooperation between Islamist terror and Moscow's state policy.
Moral. I send another warm greeting to the EU intelligence services - Russia, which has long mastered sponsored terrorist incidents for political influence in Europe, has to admit it, after all.
And, just in case, I'll just briefly explain what's going on behind the scenes, after the attacks and hit-and-runs that have become strangely more and more frequent
The ultimate goal of the Russians is to radicalise both sides:
Migrants - through fakes about "Islamophobic Europe", Europeans - through fakes about "hordes of jihadists".
In both cases, the Kremlin wins because the unity of the EU is weakened, the far-right electorate grows, trust in state institutions falls, and social stability is undermined before the next election.
And then the conventional populist Orban comes to power and your country is no longer yours, but a vassal of Moscow.
Welcome to the real world, ladies and gentlemen. Maybe it's time to cooperate with those who understand how Russians think?
