B Євpocoюзi пoвиннi зpoзyмiти пpocтy piч: миp — цe пpивiлeй, який пoтpiбнo зaxищaти. Cилa — єдинa мoвa, якy poзyмiє диктaтop. B XXI cтoлiттi вiйнa нe зниклa. Boнa змiнилacя: дpoни, paкeти, кiбepaтaки, нaймaнцi, «гiбpиднi» фpoнти. Aлe cyть зaлишилacя тiєю caмoю — вoля, piшyчicть, диcциплiнa, кpoв.
Пaцифiзм зpoбив cвoю cпpaвy. Тeпep — чac apмiй. Нe мoжнa зaxищaти цiннocтi, якщo нe гoтoвий вмepти зa ниx. Нe мoжнa любити cвoбoдy, якщo нe гoтoвий тpимaти в pyкax збpoю. Нe мoжнa вipити в дeмoкpaтiю, якщo нe гoтoвий кинyти виклик тиpaнiї.
Євpoпi знoвy пoтpiбнo виxoвyвaти вoїнiв — нe мiлiтapиcтcькиx фaнaтикiв, a гpoмaдян-зaxиcникiв, пoвepнyти пoняття чecтi, мyжнocтi, oбoв’язкy. Нe як мiлiтapизм, a як вiдпoвiдь нa виклики нaшoгo чacy.
Євpoпa мaє бyти здaтнoю дiяти caмocтiйнo. Apмiя ЄC нe мoжe бyти yтoпiєю. Цe мycить cтaти пpiopитeтoм. Євpocoюз пoвинeн витpaчaти нe 2% BBП нa oбopoнy, a 5%. + мaти мiльйoннy apмiю нa випaдoк вeликoї вiйни. Нy i дyмaти нe пpo «дeecкaлaцiю», a пpo пepeмoгy.
Cвiт нe бyдe чeкaти. Мocквa вжe вoює. Пeкiн гoтyєтьcя. Baшингтoн вaгaєтьcя. Тiльки євpoпeйцi дoci нe визнaчилиcь.
Якщo ЄC нe cтвopить нoвy кacтy вoїнiв, вiн втpaтить вce — i миp, i гiднicть, i життя. Євpoпi пoтpiбнa нoвa євpoпeйcькa вoєннa peвoлюцiя. Нe для нaпaдy. A для виживaння.

Where the warriors of Europe or the EU are guessing about something
An interesting article was published in EL PAÍS. At first I thought it was fake, because it can't be that pacifists or those who think it's real to negotiate with fucking Nazis (with katsaps) are so openly cocksucking.

Pacifism was a cultural revolution, and it must be taken into account, but it cannot be turned into a political platform.
Who will fight in our next wars? Or, more precisely, who will fight the next wars for us? This question has been hanging over us for a long time - it has been ignored, rejected, suppressed - but after Donald Trump's betrayal, it has become urgent. After all, there can be no doubt about it: The 47th President of the United States of America is a traitor to his friends, his allies and, above all, to the secular values of his nation.
There is a daily debate about the need for a "common European defence", increased investment in military spending, and even the possibility of deploying our soldiers along the bloody border between Russia and Ukraine. They discuss the problems that make it difficult to achieve autonomy, if not impossible independence, in the military defence of Europe against possible future aggression, which, unfortunately, is becoming more and more likely (and is already happening). The obstacles are many, vast and diverse: military-industrial, economic, technological, strategic and, above all, political.
This debate, while necessary, stubbornly ignores Europe's main drawback when it comes to conducting an autonomous defensive war: a lack of soldiers. As the recent carnage in Ukraine (and the Middle East) has unfortunately and tragically demonstrated, even the most technologically advanced wars require soldiers. And we Western Europeans do not have them, have not had them and do not have them anymore.
I'm not just talking about the shortage of combat soldiers, which is very acute: according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, protecting Ukraine's border will require the deployment of 200,000 troops, but the EU can barely deploy 60,000 in three shifts of 20,000. I am referring to the fading combat capability of cities that have lived in peace for eight decades and are demographically aging. To wage war, even if it is only defensive, you need the right weapons, but there remains, stubborn, insurmountable, terrifying, the need for young men (and women, if you like) who are able, ready and willing to use them. In other words, people who are ready to kill and die.
The most useful indicator of our failure in this task is not the size of our armies. It is the number of dead: according to reliable estimates, over the three years of the conflict in Ukraine, about 300,000 combatants have died and three times as many have been wounded, often seriously.
The war wiped out almost the entire population of Milan. Can we imagine this? No, we cannot. It is beyond our imagination, precisely because we are no longer soldiers. What happened to all those soldiers?
James Sheehan asks this question in a book that explores Europe's transformation from a devastated battlefield to a prosperous and peaceful society that has shifted all its material and moral resources from war to welfare. A more accurate formulation of the question, however, is: what happened to all these soldiers?
On our millennial trajectory, war was not only a craft, a tragic constant, an instrument of power, it was an art (a set of techniques, methods, inventions and talents) that drove European history and, in unison with it, the narrative that defined European identity. For centuries, our land was a Eurasian cape inhabited by fierce, formidable, proud and victorious warriors.
Of all the European inventions that have shaped the modern world, inventions in warfare - technological, tactical and cultural - have been perhaps the most effective and influential. But the wars of our European ancestors were not only about the acquisition of power, they were also about the genesis of meaning: from Marathon to Piave, Europeans fought (and lived) the way they expected their battle (and their lives) to be told.
From Homer to Ernst Junger, our civilisation has considered frontal, deadly and decisive armed struggle to be its foundation, because it was in heroic warfare that the full experience, the fateful event, the moment of truth, took place, in which the forms of politics and values of society were shaped, and individual and collective destinies were decided.
The two-part apocalypse of the world wars destroyed this age-old tradition. The break with it was radical and violent. Already with the devastating experience of the trenches of the Great War, for the first time in a millennium of history, the concepts of glory, honour and courage lost all meaning, as European man came to the conclusion that there was nothing in the world worth dying for. Suddenly, as Blaise Cendrars wrote, "God was absent from the battlefields."The pacifist novel was born, an absolute novelty in the panorama of human creations. The catastrophe of the Second World War, unleashed by the bellicose regurgitation of Nazism, made the gulf separating us from the history of our ancestors even deeper and more permanent. The result was a profound mutation of human experience and social organisation. The final revelation of the senselessness of war has left an imprint in our minds of ironic silence and melancholic disillusionment with the world.
We were reminded and confirmed of this obscene spectacle of vile cruelty, which the President of the United States of America demonstrated to the whole world. In his presence, we experienced a moment of intense existential clarity, we rediscovered our pride in being Europeans, in being different from him.
The fact is that we are no longer warriors. Pacifism was a cultural revolution, it should be reflected upon and respected, but it can never become a political platform. For all these reasons, the approaching eightieth anniversary of the liberation from Nazism, which led us to renounce once and for all any aggressive, nationalist and imperialist war, should be a decisive step for Europe to rediscover its fighting spirit and with it the meaning of struggle.
It has been a long time since we, Western Europeans, were last warriors. The anti-fascist resistance reminds us why we reject war, but it also teaches us why we must prepare to wage it if necessary."

A remark or 5 cents from the author. Enough with the illusions. Enough of the dreams of eternal peace that were promised after 1945. Enough pretending that history is over and that everyone in Europe can live in peace forever, protected by the walls of the Brussels bureaucracy.
The world has returned to its natural state of struggle. And Europe must do the same.
Europe has lost not only its military hardware, it has lost its muscle. The same Europe that once dictated the rules of the world is now looking helplessly at the war in Ukraine and wondering if it is capable of anything more than concern and sanctions.
War is not an anomaly. It is a language that nations speak when diplomats are no longer able to reach an agreement. And if Europeans do not speak it, they will be slaves to those who do.
The European Union must understand a simple thing: peace is a privilege that must be defended. Force is the only language a dictator understands. In the 21st century, war has not disappeared. It has changed: drones, missiles, cyber attacks, mercenaries, "hybrid" fronts. But the essence remains the same - will, determination, discipline, blood.
Pacifism has done its job.
Now it's time for armies. You cannot defend values if you are not prepared to die for them. You cannot love freedom if you are not ready to take up arms. You cannot believe in democracy if you are not prepared to challenge tyranny.
Europe needs to educate warriors again - not militaristic fanatics, but citizen-defenders, to restore the concepts of honour, courage, and duty. Not as militarism, but as a response to the challenges of our time.
Europe must be able to act independently. The EU army cannot be a utopia. It must become a priority. The EU should spend not 2% of GDP on defence, but 5%. + have an army of millions in case of a major war. And think not about "de-escalation" but about victory.
The world will not wait. Moscow is already at war. Beijing is preparing. Washington is hesitating. Only the Europeans are still undecided.
If the EU does not create a new caste of warriors, it will lose everything - peace, dignity, and life. Europe needs a new European military revolution. Not for attack. But for survival.
Because without readiness for war, it is impossible to ensure peace.

Євpoпa мaє бyти здaтнoю дiяти caмocтiйнo. Apмiя ЄC нe мoжe бyти yтoпiєю. Цe мycить cтaти пpiopитeтoм. Євpocoюз пoвинeн витpaчaти нe 2% BBП нa oбopoнy, a 5%. + мaти мiльйoннy apмiю нa випaдoк вeликoї вiйни. Нy i дyмaти нe пpo «дeecкaлaцiю», a пpo пepeмoгy.
Cвiт нe бyдe чeкaти. Мocквa вжe вoює. Пeкiн гoтyєтьcя. Baшингтoн вaгaєтьcя. Тiльки євpoпeйцi дoci нe визнaчилиcь.
Якщo ЄC нe cтвopить нoвy кacтy вoїнiв, вiн втpaтить вce — i миp, i гiднicть, i життя. Євpoпi пoтpiбнa нoвa євpoпeйcькa вoєннa peвoлюцiя. Нe для нaпaдy. A для виживaння.

Where the warriors of Europe or the EU are guessing about something
An interesting article was published in EL PAÍS. At first I thought it was fake, because it can't be that pacifists or those who think it's real to negotiate with fucking Nazis (with katsaps) are so openly cocksucking.
Therefore, I quote the article in full, which tore up the pacifist's arse and all sorts of pink ponies + drove a bunch of katsaps into the comments (if you're interested, I'll drop a link to the original source):

Pacifism was a cultural revolution, and it must be taken into account, but it cannot be turned into a political platform.
Who will fight in our next wars? Or, more precisely, who will fight the next wars for us? This question has been hanging over us for a long time - it has been ignored, rejected, suppressed - but after Donald Trump's betrayal, it has become urgent. After all, there can be no doubt about it: The 47th President of the United States of America is a traitor to his friends, his allies and, above all, to the secular values of his nation.
There is a daily debate about the need for a "common European defence", increased investment in military spending, and even the possibility of deploying our soldiers along the bloody border between Russia and Ukraine. They discuss the problems that make it difficult to achieve autonomy, if not impossible independence, in the military defence of Europe against possible future aggression, which, unfortunately, is becoming more and more likely (and is already happening). The obstacles are many, vast and diverse: military-industrial, economic, technological, strategic and, above all, political.
This debate, while necessary, stubbornly ignores Europe's main drawback when it comes to conducting an autonomous defensive war: a lack of soldiers. As the recent carnage in Ukraine (and the Middle East) has unfortunately and tragically demonstrated, even the most technologically advanced wars require soldiers. And we Western Europeans do not have them, have not had them and do not have them anymore.
I'm not just talking about the shortage of combat soldiers, which is very acute: according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, protecting Ukraine's border will require the deployment of 200,000 troops, but the EU can barely deploy 60,000 in three shifts of 20,000. I am referring to the fading combat capability of cities that have lived in peace for eight decades and are demographically aging. To wage war, even if it is only defensive, you need the right weapons, but there remains, stubborn, insurmountable, terrifying, the need for young men (and women, if you like) who are able, ready and willing to use them. In other words, people who are ready to kill and die.
The most useful indicator of our failure in this task is not the size of our armies. It is the number of dead: according to reliable estimates, over the three years of the conflict in Ukraine, about 300,000 combatants have died and three times as many have been wounded, often seriously.
The war wiped out almost the entire population of Milan. Can we imagine this? No, we cannot. It is beyond our imagination, precisely because we are no longer soldiers. What happened to all those soldiers?
James Sheehan asks this question in a book that explores Europe's transformation from a devastated battlefield to a prosperous and peaceful society that has shifted all its material and moral resources from war to welfare. A more accurate formulation of the question, however, is: what happened to all these soldiers?
On our millennial trajectory, war was not only a craft, a tragic constant, an instrument of power, it was an art (a set of techniques, methods, inventions and talents) that drove European history and, in unison with it, the narrative that defined European identity. For centuries, our land was a Eurasian cape inhabited by fierce, formidable, proud and victorious warriors.
Of all the European inventions that have shaped the modern world, inventions in warfare - technological, tactical and cultural - have been perhaps the most effective and influential. But the wars of our European ancestors were not only about the acquisition of power, they were also about the genesis of meaning: from Marathon to Piave, Europeans fought (and lived) the way they expected their battle (and their lives) to be told.
From Homer to Ernst Junger, our civilisation has considered frontal, deadly and decisive armed struggle to be its foundation, because it was in heroic warfare that the full experience, the fateful event, the moment of truth, took place, in which the forms of politics and values of society were shaped, and individual and collective destinies were decided.
The two-part apocalypse of the world wars destroyed this age-old tradition. The break with it was radical and violent. Already with the devastating experience of the trenches of the Great War, for the first time in a millennium of history, the concepts of glory, honour and courage lost all meaning, as European man came to the conclusion that there was nothing in the world worth dying for. Suddenly, as Blaise Cendrars wrote, "God was absent from the battlefields."The pacifist novel was born, an absolute novelty in the panorama of human creations. The catastrophe of the Second World War, unleashed by the bellicose regurgitation of Nazism, made the gulf separating us from the history of our ancestors even deeper and more permanent. The result was a profound mutation of human experience and social organisation. The final revelation of the senselessness of war has left an imprint in our minds of ironic silence and melancholic disillusionment with the world.
We were reminded and confirmed of this obscene spectacle of vile cruelty, which the President of the United States of America demonstrated to the whole world. In his presence, we experienced a moment of intense existential clarity, we rediscovered our pride in being Europeans, in being different from him.
The fact is that we are no longer warriors. Pacifism was a cultural revolution, it should be reflected upon and respected, but it can never become a political platform. For all these reasons, the approaching eightieth anniversary of the liberation from Nazism, which led us to renounce once and for all any aggressive, nationalist and imperialist war, should be a decisive step for Europe to rediscover its fighting spirit and with it the meaning of struggle.
It has been a long time since we, Western Europeans, were last warriors. The anti-fascist resistance reminds us why we reject war, but it also teaches us why we must prepare to wage it if necessary."

A remark or 5 cents from the author. Enough with the illusions. Enough of the dreams of eternal peace that were promised after 1945. Enough pretending that history is over and that everyone in Europe can live in peace forever, protected by the walls of the Brussels bureaucracy.
The world has returned to its natural state of struggle. And Europe must do the same.
Europe has lost not only its military hardware, it has lost its muscle. The same Europe that once dictated the rules of the world is now looking helplessly at the war in Ukraine and wondering if it is capable of anything more than concern and sanctions.
War is not an anomaly. It is a language that nations speak when diplomats are no longer able to reach an agreement. And if Europeans do not speak it, they will be slaves to those who do.
The European Union must understand a simple thing: peace is a privilege that must be defended. Force is the only language a dictator understands. In the 21st century, war has not disappeared. It has changed: drones, missiles, cyber attacks, mercenaries, "hybrid" fronts. But the essence remains the same - will, determination, discipline, blood.
Pacifism has done its job.
Now it's time for armies. You cannot defend values if you are not prepared to die for them. You cannot love freedom if you are not ready to take up arms. You cannot believe in democracy if you are not prepared to challenge tyranny.
Europe needs to educate warriors again - not militaristic fanatics, but citizen-defenders, to restore the concepts of honour, courage, and duty. Not as militarism, but as a response to the challenges of our time.
Europe must be able to act independently. The EU army cannot be a utopia. It must become a priority. The EU should spend not 2% of GDP on defence, but 5%. + have an army of millions in case of a major war. And think not about "de-escalation" but about victory.
The world will not wait. Moscow is already at war. Beijing is preparing. Washington is hesitating. Only the Europeans are still undecided.
If the EU does not create a new caste of warriors, it will lose everything - peace, dignity, and life. Europe needs a new European military revolution. Not for attack. But for survival.
Because without readiness for war, it is impossible to ensure peace.
