Крим та плани окупантів підірвати Каховську ГЕС
Association of Reintegration of Crimea
20 жовтня Президент України Володимир Зеленський повідомив, що російські окупанти замінували дамбу та агрегати Каховської ГЕС. При цьому якщо російські терористи підірвуть цю дамбу, то в зоні затоплення опиняться близько 80 населених пунктів, включаючи райони Херсона, а також міста Олешки та Гола Пристань.
Також наголошується, що без води для охолодження може залишитися Запорізька АЕС, а також буде припинено подачу води Північнокримським та Каховським каналами, зокрема до окупованого Криму. При цьому окупанти почали заявляти про те, що нібито планується обстріл ГЕС з боку Української Армії, і що нібито підривати ГЕС окупантам «невигідно» саме через подачу води канатом та охолодження АЕС.
Але очевидно, що артилерійські обстріли, на відміну від мінування, не здатні зруйнувати греблю Каховської ГЕС.
У той же час, як уже писала наша Асоціація, пафосно розрекламована окупантами з березня 2022 року подача до Криму води каналом не призвела до жодних реальних наслідків для «регіональної економіки».
Як визнають самі російські загарбники, все обладнання каналу та системи меліорації в Криму «раптово» виявилися розкраденими за роки «російського світу», крім того, система «місцевої влади» півострова виявилася нездатною забезпечити поливне землеробство.
Тому списати фіаско зрошуваного землеробства в окупованому Криму на «вибух греблі Україною» для Кремля може здатися «не найгіршим» виходом. Що ж до Запорізької ГЕС, то окупанти вже зупинили її роботу після серії організованих російськими військовими провокацій і тепер також потребують «об’єктивної причини» її подальшого простою.
Крім того, підрив оккупантами Каховської ГЕС оголить дно значної частини Каховського водосховища, при цьому з окупованого, лівого берега Дніпра, що російські загарбники можуть спробувати використати у власних злочинних планах – як щодо зміни лінії фронту, так і для знищення традиційної економіки прибережних українських сіл Херсонської та Запорізької областей.

Crimea and Occupiers’ Plans to Undermine Kakhovska Hydroelectric Power Station
On October 20, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the Russian invaders had mined the dam and units of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. At the same time, if Russian terrorists undermine this dam, then about 80 settlements will be in the flood zone, including the districts of the city of Kherson, as well as of Aleshki and Gola Pristan towns.
More, it is emphasized that the Zaporizhzhya NPP may remain without water for cooling, and the supply of water by the North Crimean and Kakhovka canals, including to the occupied Crimea, will also be stopped.
At the same time, the occupiers began to declare that the Ukrainian Army allegedly plans to shell the hydroelectric power station from, and that supposedly blowing up the hydroelectric power station was “unprofitable” for the occupiers precisely because of the supply of water by a canal and the cooling of the nuclear power plant.
And more, it is obvious that artillery shelling, unlike mining, is unable to destroy the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. At the same time, as our Association has already written, the supply of water to Crimea by a canal, pompously advertised by the occupiers since March 2022, has not led to any real consequences for the economy.
As the Russian invaders themselves admit, all the equipment of the canal and the melioration system in the Crimea “suddenly” turned out to be stolen during the years of the “Russian world”, in addition, the system of the “local authorities” of the peninsula was unable to provide irrigated agriculture.
Therefore, the Kremlin may seem “not the worst” way out to write off the fiasco of irrigated agriculture in the occupied Crimea as an “explosion of a dam by Ukraine”. As for the Zaporizhzhya hydroelectric power station, the Russian invaders have already stopped its work after a series of provocations organized by the Russian military and now they also need an “objective reason” for its further downtime.
In addition, the undermining of the Kakhovska hydroelectric power station by the occupiers will expose the bottom of a significant part of the Kakhovka Reservoir, while from the occupied left bank of the Dnieper, which the Russian invaders can try to use in their own criminal plans – both to change the front line and to destroy the traditional economy of Ukrainian coastal villages of Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions.
